A SmartLIGHT mesh bulb uses Bluetooth mesh technology.
Bluetooth mesh technology is based on the standardised Bluetooth Low Energy protocol to which AwoX has added its technology to bring new features such as :

• A secure Bluetooth connection
• Extended reach throughout the house if enough bulbs are available
• Management of groups of up to 50 bulbs or luminaires
• Support for several users simultaneously
